My name is Elena. I’m a licensed tour guide (RNAAT nº: 016/2022/RAA), founder of Olá Azores — and I live on São Miguel year-round.
I didn’t arrive here as a tourist and decide to stay. I came because I already knew this island was something different. Volcanic landscapes that change every season. Ocean so close you can feel it from almost anywhere. A pace of life that reminds you what travel is actually for.

Every tour I offer comes from real personal experience — trails I’ve hiked in rain and sunshine, restaurants I’ve eaten at on my own time, viewpoints I’ve discovered on days off. I don’t rely on what looks good in a brochure. I know what’s actually worth your time.
When I’m not available, I work with a trusted circle of local guides who share the same approach: no scripts, no rushed stops, no generic commentary. Just genuine knowledge and genuine care.
